Description
Our state of the art handpiece cleaning and disinfection system. The WL System Starter Kit will clean, disinfect and blow out any fixed or baked-on protein that cannot be removed by traditional methods or sterilisation.
Handpiece anti-retraction valves have been known to fail. Contamination can also be introduced via suckback during surgery, meaning blood saliva and other tissue is brought into the internal channels of the handpiece. These tissues and proteins then become ‘baked’ into the handpiece during vacuum sterilisation, leaving you with a dirty handpiece and infection risk. In addition, non-vac autoclaves cannot sterilise the internal parts of the handpiece, meaning another method of cleaning and disinfection is mandatory.
Over the longer term, contamination can damage your handpieces through blockages and lead to expensive repair costs.
For more information on the issues, read our article on handpiece cleaning.
The WL system will completely remove any blood or debris in the handpiece. WL-Clean cleans the internal surfaces, WL-Cid disinfects with broad-spectrum antimicrobial activity, finally, WL-Dry blows out any leftover solution or tissue ready for lubrication with an oiling solution.
