Team Aura is travelling to Bangkok to raise money for the Great North Air Ambulance! We’re aiming to raise £8000 this year, for the 8000 square miles the air ambulance covers.

The Great North Air Ambulance Service (GNAAS) rescues hundreds of patients every year throughout the region covering an area of 8,000 sq miles.
Their doctor-led critical care teams deliver life-saving treatments at the scene of the incident whether that is on a fell top, a roadside or in a city centre. The charity responded to 1,640 call outs last year alone, via their helicopter and emergency response vehicles, where they performed treatments and procedures which can mean the difference between life or death. In February this year alone there were 74 helicopter call-outs, each flight costing around £4000.
Our challenge (supported by our husbands and wives) will be to swim, bike, row, run or walk 8,000 miles over the next 6 weeks, starting 1st March, and raise £8,000 over the coming year this will almost, but not quite, cover two call outs.
We’re delighted to say we have completed the challenge with a day to spare! A massive well done to our team for accomplishing this huge feat.
